Øresunddirekt celebrates 25 years - a quarter of a century of cross-border cooperation

The year 2025 marks a significant anniversary for Øresunddirekt, celebrating 25 years of cross-border co-operation between Denmark and Sweden. Starting with the opening of the Øresund Bridge in 2000, Øresunddirekt has played a central role in making life easier for people and businesses in the Øresund region.

The new Öresund TaxAgreement

From January 1, 2025, a new tax agreement between Sweden and Denmark, the so-called Öresund Agreement, will apply. The agreement applies to taxes on income from the income year 2025, i.e. the income you declare in May 2026.

Skatteverket to help with the tax declaration

Do you need help with your personal tax declaration (årsopgørelse) for the tax year 2020? You are always welcome to write to us. As an extra service, Skatteverket at Øresunddirekt has now opened a new phone line for help with the Danish årsopgørelse and the Swedish tax declaration for the tax year 2020.

Travel to Denmark for people registered in Skåne, Blekinge, Halland and Västra Götaland

Skåne, Blekinge, Halland and Västra Götaland are classified as border regions. This means that a special set of travel restrictions apply to residents of these regions in order to facilitate cross-border commuting.
